Pray to St. Joseph for help selling a house
Are you having
trouble selling your home? The economy is tight right now
and there are a lot of people that are having a hard time
finding buyers for homes that they need to
sell. If your
house has been on the market for awhile and you’re not
getting any serious offers before you think about
lowering the price or waiting to sell when the market
picks up again you should try praying to St. Joseph for
help selling a house first. There’s a tradition that says
that if you pray to St. Joseph for help selling a home and
you bury a statue of St. Joseph upside down in your yard
that St. Joseph will help buyers find your home and that
you will get an offer on your home very soon, it’s the
perfect help for selling a
house.
It might sound
strange but thousands of home owners and realtors would
swear that it works.
In fact there was a
time during the 1980s when stores that sold statues of
St. Joseph and house selling kits that contained Saint
Joseph statues couldn’t keep them in stock because
realtors and real estate agents bought them by the case
to use them to sell the properties that they were
representing.
The tradition is
still around and thousands of people still pray to St.
Joseph and use Saint Joseph statues to help them sell
their homes today. Ask any realtor or real estate agent
that you know and they will probably tell you that
burying a statute of St. Joseph while you pray to St.
Joseph for help selling a house will work every
time.
People pray to St.
Joseph to help them sell their homes because St. Joseph
is the patron saint of real estate and of the home and
family.
After you bury a
statue of St. Joseph in your yard and get an offer on
your home some people say that you should leave the
statue of St. Joseph in the yard of the home so that the
St. Joseph will bless the home and the new family that is
going to live there and keep them safe but other people
say that if you leave the statute in the yard it will
make the house be sold over and over again until the
statute is dug up and either placed in the house or
placed in a new home.
So most people say
that after you get an offer for the property you should
dig up the statue and take it with you to your new home
where you can pray to St. Joseph to protect your family
in the new home.
The idea to pray
to St. Joseph for help selling a home came from an
earlier tradition of praying to Saint Joseph to help find
the right home.
The earliest story
about someone praying to St. Joseph to find a home says
that St. Teresa of Avila, a well known saint and mystic
who founded the Discalced Carmelite order of nuns, prayed
to St. Joseph and had all of her nuns pray to St. Joseph
as well when they needed to find a piece of land that
they could build a convent on to house the
nuns.
St. Teresa had her
nuns pray to St. Joseph and bury medals of St. Joseph
that had been blessed around the property that they lived
on.
Their prayers were
answered and St. Teresa found a perfect piece of land to
build a new convent on.
As the years went by
the story got changed and over time the tradition became
for people that were selling land to bury medals and
small statues of St. Joseph on the property and to pray
to St. Joseph for help selling a
house.
